    Hey @mrppp,

    Checkout this section on the FAQs I believe it may help with this issue:
    -> Browse to: http://lifeinthegrid.com/duplicator-faq
    -> Find section: “3. Troubleshoot=> I got an “Internal Server 500″ message what should I do?”

    Hope that helps!

    My Server logs are empty.
    Duplicator log is empty snapshot set to 0755
    “Reasons for log file not showing:
    – The web server does not support returning .log file extentions.
    – The snapshots directory does not have the correct permissions to write files. Try setting the permissions to 755.
    – The process that PHP runs under does not have enough permissions to create files. Please contact your hosting provider for more details.”

    is this the problem
    This server does not have shell_exec configured to run. Please contact the server administrator to enable this feature.

    Hey @mrppp,

    shell_exec is not required to use the plugin it just allows for extra features to be used…

    Cheers~

    OK figured it out. My hosting company for some reason created a 50Mb backup and left it in the directory . Removed this and now it works as it should!!!

    Sounds good! BTW in version 0.5.3 won’t have the skip step as its all integrated as part of the workflow…
