Hello. I have a website, currently with a hosting provider. I want to switch to hosting this website on my PC. I have installed XAMPP and WordPress, but I am unable to access the WP dashboard. I get the message ‘localhost refused to connect.’ I read that the port(s) that XAMPP uses may conflict with the port(s) that other applications use, so I changed XAMPP’s port 80 to 81. If I enter URL localhost:81/dashboard I get the XAMPP dashboard, and if I enter localhost:81/phpmyadmin/ I can access the database management interface. But I can’t access the WP dashboard. Can anyone offer advice?
