• Hi there,

has anyone else had this problem with the 2016 theme? Basically the text in some posts gets compressed in to the right side with a huge white space (wider than the text itself) between it and the footer content that’s situated to the left. This isn’t consistent from one post to the next or from one browser to the next, and I’m not using anything super complicated, just a couple paragraph tags and an ordered list in my post.

Delving into the code it looks like there are 2 divs, one nested inside the other, both with the class “entry-content” set to float right and be about 71% wide

I’ve tried to fix it in the CSS but, again, since it’s inconsistent from browser to browser and from post to post, it seems that my changes, even if they fix the affected post, mess up other posts that were working fine and make the text area too wide. Or, if I view it in another browser where everything was working all the posts are too wide.

Sometimes it displays incorrectly like this in Safari, sometimes it does it in Chrome. I’ve deleted and remade the whole post a number of times now and there’s just no consistency to predict which browser will display the post incorrectly.

  • are you copy/pasting the content from another site?

try using the ‘paste as text’ butoon or the ‘clear formatting’ button when pasting content.

and check your existing posts for the extra element with the entry-content class, using the ‘text’ setting of the editor.
