Enjoyed plugin for a while, recaptcha vs. wp-login.php

I have used this plugin on a number of sites to replace the standard wordpress login. Thank you!

Lately some of the sites I manage have been getting hammered with spammers, so after trying everything else I can think of I am resorting to recaptcha.

I tried to use it and after configuration it doesn’t render on the page. I am going to have to trouble shoot that, but in the meantime…

I notice the disable wp-login.php checkbox and suspect the spammers are using this method to create bogus accounts; have you noticed that being an effective method to thwart spammers efforts?
