Here is my list of most important things to add:
    – Ability to change “donation” and “donate” to “gift” and “give” (or custom terms). You could do a language translation table instead.
    – Remove “about” from “Add about $x.xx to cover processing fees …” because the transaction amount will be exact (even though this will possibly be a slightly different amount from the base amount + Stripe fee)
    – Add weekly and bi-weekly frequencies and allow add/remove frequencies

I was going to fork the plugin, but you just added some good updates in the last version, and I don’t really have the time to keep up with the changes. You have a very good plugin that will work well for many organizations.

    Hey Tom,

All three of your enhancement requests are in the latest release now. Update to the latest version (2.7.2) to get them.

    1. Using your own words and terminology:
Go to Donor Merchant > Settings > Forms > Wording. Under “Words donors see”, you can now choose “Gift / Give” or “My own words”. Donors then see your wording on the form, in the donor portal, on receipts and statements, and in their emails, while your admin screens keep the standard wording. To reword anything else donors see, use the “Custom wording” table just below it, which is the find-and-replace table you suggested. One note: if using PayPal, they draw their own “Donate” button text and they don’t let sites change it, so when you change the wording, the PayPal button will just show the PayPal logo instead.
    2. Changed the “about” wording:
The fee is now worked out exactly: the smallest amount that leaves your full gift after the processor’s cut, including its cut of the fee itself. On a $100 card gift at 2.9% + 30 cents that’s $3.30 rather than $3.20, so the form says “Add $3.30 to cover processing fees”. The fee settings are under Settings > Payments > Processing fees.
    3. Weekly and every-2-weeks giving, with Stripe and PayPal:
Under Settings > Forms > Amounts and frequency > Giving frequencies, tick exactly which frequencies your form offers. If you use page caching, clear the cache after changing them.

Thanks again for taking the time to write these up. If anything doesn’t work the way you expected, reply here and I’ll take a look. 🙂

The changes are exactly what I need. You made several other key updates in this time period as well. I can’t recommend this plugin enough. Thanks for being so responsive!
