Consider a page with two columns = two sidebars. We want to display the same category in both columns, a simple flow from one to the next. There might be 3 posts in each column for a total of 6. Right now there is a post query and for each widget items are selected off the top. That would mean the same 3 posts in each column. With a Skip Posts option, in this case Skip 3, we can display the latest 3 in the first column and the latest 4,5,6 in the second column.

If you do put this into your ToDo list, I thank you.
If you will accept a PR, I will try to find time to add this myself, and thank you anyway. 🙂

    Any +1 votes?

Whoops! I see from this inquiry that this feature to Offset the selection is available in Ultimate Post List. I’ll take a look at that. But since the site I’d like this on already heavily uses RPWWT, I’d kinda like to see the feature here too.

Thank you @starbuck for reaching out.
Yes, this feature is available in Ultimate Post List.
I will have a look if I can it also to Recent Posts Widget With Thumbnails in the next update. In any case, I put it on the to-do list.
A pull request is currently not possible but I will publish all the plugins on Bitbucket, in the future. Then you can also contribute and send a pull request.
