    Hello,

First of all, thanks for a great plugin!

I made a p3 performance scan today and realized that enhanced media library is taking up a lot of resources in relation to what it actually does.. I only use two image categories and only for maybe 0,1% of my images.

    please see these results: https://snag.gy/u1DdSa.jpg

Is there a way to limit the impact of the plugin? Or to limit so that it does not load when people are not logged in or on all pages?

    Thanks!

    Kind regards,
    Marcus

    Hello Marcus,

I personally dislike P3 for too vague information it provides to me. We use Query Monitor to test Enhanced Media Library’s impact on different pages.

Enhanced Media Library is loaded for admin with the minor impact on non-media pages (we also compare its impact with famous and reputable plugins such as Advanced Custom Fields, WooCommerce, etc, and competitors), though, its impact on media library admin page is significant.

As for the front-end, Enhanced Media Library does not affect it at all even in case a page contains media files or gallery except the case when filter-based gallery/playlist is embedded in a page.

Also, please note that P3 was last updated a year ago, while Query Monitor is up to date and has better rating.

    Best,
    -Nadia
