Hi
i’m just trying to create custom fields for profile, but when i’m using drop down or check box list when enter the Choices as Persian language, it shows like “???????” in the profile :-/

Hi @mersiuse,

Have you tried turning ON “Force Strings to UTF-8 Encoding” in Ultimate member -> Settings -> Advanced?

other labels and fields are fine with utf-8 encoding and Persian, everything is showing right, the problem is only on drop-down and check box fields

For me when I use these fields I get a 500 Internal Server error. When i remove them every thing is fine. I am also “Forcing UTF-8”.

Can you please check whether you have mbstring PHP extension enabled?

hi @ultimatemembersupport
i’m using php 7.1 with enabled mbrstring module
also i checked it with php 5.6 but issue is still exist.

please note that
in the “edit profile” page the check box options shows correctly with ust-8 but in the profile tab show the character like “????”
