    I don’t know if there are “empty” themes, I can not. I think you should just start from scatch, or (much easier) take a theme that works with 2.5.1 and edit it to your liking.

    Doesn’t the theme that you made earlier work? Actually I don’t know what makes a theme work with a newer WP and what doesn’t. I still use the same theme as when I started with 2.1. When it supports widgets (when it doesn’t you can add a plugin I believe) things should work. Otherwise just take a theme that looks a bit like Sandbox and change it. Btw. the creator of the theme doesn’t release new versions every now and then?

    are you using old theme from v 2.1 on current 2.5.1 ?? i think that can be a problem because some functions have changed, some were removed or added. or not?
