Empty read more link

    On my fresh install of WP 1.5 I do get empty read more link (not showing up). In the code there is a tag with id more-2 but no href and link text. Please help.
    I use it as <?php the_content(‘Read on…’, ‘1’); ?>

    Why don’t I get the link???

    For more information on using the Read More link, check out this article:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Customizing_the_Read_More

    I believe all you need to do to get it to show up is:

    <?php the_content('Read on...'); ?>

    Nothing else.

    I found the problem. When I have in my blog Options > Reading options > Show at most 1, read more isn’t working.
    But when I change it to 2 or more, read more link is working OK.

    How can I show only one post on my index page with working read more links???

    Please be patiente with me because I moved from MT to WP!

    You’ve run into a bug that was fixed in more recent versions of WordPress. Upgrading will solve it.
