Embed Video swf not playing

    for wordpress.org
    do I need a plugin or to rewrite the code to get this video to work on the wp.org page? (see below) it shows up but won’t play

    What ive done and i hope this helps you out, 1- i installed flash player plugin , and then after i convert video to flash and upload it to a folder, I call the folder (musicvideos), on my site , i make the posting and include this in the posting for the video

    [flv]http://www.easysharez.com/musicvideos/EXACTNAMEOFFILE.flv[/flv]

    where it says exact name of file, meaning the exact name of the file you uploaded,(please remember, they do not like no spacing.

    that’s a great idea! However, not sure I want to go to all that trouble to embed a video from another site.

    I can’t figure out why other embeds work and this one doesn’t.

    I didn’t mean embed from another site, i meant that is how you can do your own by using that example.

    you need to confirm that what you see when you ‘view source’ matches what you are putting in the editor.

    whooami – the video box shows up but nothing plays, there’s a hint that it’s connecting when the page loads, but it’s just end up a black box.

    I copied it from the source and I tried even removing [/]
    still nothing. Tried it both browers too.

    you need to confirm that what you see when you ‘view source’ matches what you are putting in the editor.

    view source == thats what you are doing when you look at the source of the page you browsing. Every browser has that option.

    I didnt ask about the video box. The code works in a stand alone page, consequently im fairly sure that if its NOT displaying within wordpress, you can ‘view the source’ and see that its being altered in some way — enough so that it’s breaking.
