• Embed function on my website is suddenly malfunctioning if it is an iframe. I had to use old code today to get things to work, and previous embeds no longer show anything.

    What gives?

  • Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Twelve theme with all plugins deactivated?

I don’t know the answer to that one.

Everything was working as far as I knew until today. When I originally posted past entries, they posted fine.

Is it possible that an update of a plugin is affecting it? I don’t recall any updates for awhile though.

I don’t know the answer to that one.

    Well, try it and see.

I’m not as savvy with things as you are. I don’t want to tear apart my existing site to “try” something that I might not be able to fix.

I’ll just continue to use old code. It’s more work, but it doesn’t risk messing things up.

    Thanks anyway.

There’s no extraordinary savvy or tearing apart of your site involved. It’s just a basic troubleshooting step. It involves nothing more than briefly switching to the default theme from the theme selection already located in your dashboard, and then seeing of the symptom persists. The same thing applies to temporarily deactivating plugins.
