Emails per month differ?

The description for this plugin here on wordpress.org says “You can use the Knowtify plugin to up to 2,000 emails to an unlimited number of subscribers per month for free.” But the Knowtify website says “You can use the product for free until you send your 1,000th email.” (As an aside, the pricing tiers also differ between the two descriptions.)
Which website’s description is true? Will the WordPress Knowtify plugin stop sending emails when I’ve sent my 1000th email? How many emails can I send in total with the plugin until I have to buy a plan? Thanks.
