Hi, the login information is sent instantly. Do you have the “Automatically approve a new affiliate” option enabled in the setting?
Yes, I do have the automatic approval set. But I also used the same email when testing previously (about a month ago). I recently deleted that test account and set up another as a new test (same email). Could that have caused the problem? I did receive the Welcome message, so it seems I should have received the login info also.
Many thanks,
Mary
OK, so I just tested the affiliate signup with a brand new email address, and again, received the welcome message but not the email with login. Please help?
The website in question is http://reflectrelaterenew.com/.
Thanks!
Anybody out there? Would love some clues about the solution to this dilemma. Help?
Hi, I believe the plugin is sending the email. But it’s not getting delivered. Please install a SMTP plugin and see how it goes. Here is a good SMTP plugin for WordPress.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/
I’ll try that and let you know. Many thanks!
Gosh, I am so sad! Set up the SMTP plugin, following all directions. The test message fails there no matter what do. So went back to the affiliates manager and tried another test sign up of a new affiliate – different name, address, email, everything – and no messages received at all in my inbox.
Is there any hope or do I need to ditch the plugin and use some other tool?
You are welcome to try a different affiliate plugin. But it seems the email is not getting delivered from your server. I don’t think installing another plugin will help.
Which SMTP server did you configure? I would recommend you to get the test email functionality to work before doing another signup.
I used the SMTP plugin that you recommended, configuring it with a gmail account. It did not work, and their support forum doesn’t look like anyone’s responding to queries there …
Could I ask you to register as an affiliate and let me know if you get the emails? It’s at http://reflectrelaterenew.com/affiliate-home/affiliate-register/.
Far as I can tell, it’s not working at all anymore, but maybe there’s a problem with entering my 3 different email address too often when testing … ?
Thank you!
Gmail SMTP is very reliable actually. What error do you get when you send a test email? Did you try with these settings?
SMTP Host: smtp.gmail.com
Type of Encryption: SSL
SMTP Port: 465

Yes, I used those settings. When testing, I continually got an error message saying the test failed.
I’ve deleted your plugin, unfortunately, and will have to try something else. Thanks for trying to help, but it just didn’t work.
