Good day.

Is there a way to enable email validation upon registration? At the moment, any user can register and is automatically logged in to the site and even bots can do that.

Or is there a way to atleast ad reCaptcha?

You can use Advanced noCaptcha & invisible Captcha (v2 & v3) plugin or Wordfence Security – Firewall & Malware Scan plugin
