Hi! I used to publish posts and my followers would get an email from me, formatted showing images (I’d have to put the featured image at the top of the post) and continuing on until I used the More block. Then, the recipient would have to click to the actual page for the conclusion. I never used a plug-in to do this, and immediately edited out the duplicate feature image and More block intended only for emails.

Since then, I changed hosts and Jetpack migrated the email subscribers. However, despite doing what I wrote above, the email that gets sent is simply the first four lines without any image. 1. How can I change the format to send what I want?

Also, I now have email addresses for my domain. 2. How can I change the “from” address in the email (even though it shows “donotreply@wordpress.com” after)?

Thanks, and hope you’re all healthy and safe!
    Lenny

From the WordPress.com dashboard, go to My Site>Manage>Settings>Writing and scroll to Feed Settings. If you enable Limit feed to excerpt only, your subscribers will receive just the excerpt of the post without you having to use the More Block and remove it later on.

It’s not possible, however, to customize the content of the email as such.
If you’d like that, I’d suggest using a service like MailChimp. You can connect it to your site via plugin 🙂

You won’t be able to change that, the emails will display your site’s address but the email will always be from WordPress.com.
