Email to admin based on field information

Hi,
I am currently looking to create a database of property rental clients which will include the information about when their safety certificates expire, which I believe this plugin is capable of.

However, I would also like to be able to have an automated email sent to the admin when the date in the certificate expiry field is close as a reminder, so the admin can action accordingly. Is this something which is possible to do with the plugin?
