• Why I get a lot off emails about Weekly Security Summary? I don’t want any emails and had this option turned off but after update it’s forced on?

  • Same here. I’m managing a lot of websites and had weekly & monthly email digests turned on automatically. So my inbox is flooded with emails and it’s a pain to disable them all.

I think the digests should be inactive as a standard. For most people they amount to spam, and the login warnings are separate anyway.

    Can you please fix that?

Thanks for the feedback. We completely understand why this caught some people off guard.

The weekly and monthly security digests were one of our most requested features over the years. Many users told us they wanted a lower-noise way to stay informed about what was happening on their sites, instead of receiving a separate email for every lockout. Since there was no reliable existing preference that clearly told us which users wanted these new digest emails and which users did not, we enabled the weekly and monthly digests for all existing users. For new installations, the daily digest is also enabled by default.

That said, we understand this may not be the right default for everyone, especially if you manage a large number of sites. If you’d rather not receive these emails, you can use the direct link included in the digest email to open the relevant settings and disable the Weekly and/or Monthly Digest options. You can also go to Settings inside the LLAR plugin dashboard and turn them off there. Your existing lockout notification settings will continue to work independently.

As a quick reminder, these notifications use the email address configured in the plugin’s notification settings. So if you manage many sites, you can use the same dedicated email address for all of them without sending these emails to the WordPress admin users or the site’s general admin email address.

    Hi Bruce,

Have you ever clicked over 200 emails to unsubscribe? Can you please disable all options as default? We need to login to every site because we’re not default logged in. So it’s almost a full day work to disable!?
