email notification as post back-up

    Everytime I make a post via wp-admin (write > write post) I would like an email of the post sent to one of my accounts. I’ve been looking around and there doesn’t seem to be anything that works. Watershedstudio has email_notification.zip but looking through the discussions in these forums it doesn’t work as advertised.

    What is everyone using for this?

    Both FeedBlitz and Feedburner have an email subscription option, too, (besides subscribing to the feeds) – you could subscribe to your own feeds with that email address.

    I gave those two a quick look and it didn’t seem to do what I wanted. I’ve been using Blogger and it allows you to send an email to yourself after you post an entry. I’m using this as a simple archiving/back-up. The posts go into an outlook folder and I forget about it until something goes wrong.

    As I said, a brief look at the two plug-ins didn’t look promising, but I’ll take another look. Thx
