Hi,
I am facing the same issue. Upon registering, the new user is not getting confirmation email with activation link when ‘Send activation email for registration’ has been enabled.
In addition to this even when this option is disabled, it says email confirmation has been sent to the mailbox. Whereas, in both the cases no email is received by the user.
To register the user, the user has to be confirmed manually from the back-end.
Could you please help me with this a.s.a.p.?
I am also facing the same issue
I have the same issue.
Has someone found a solution, or why is this marked as resolved?
Dose this happen with all email addresses?
Have you tried a test account using an email from http://mailinator.com/ for testing purposes?
Some email addresses like yahoo or hotmail are known to block emails from shared hosting for example. In that case you could try with a service like http://postmarkapp.com/ and see if that fixes the issue.
Thanks for the quick response – I appreciate it.
Not sure what the problem was but I deleted the plugin and reinstalled it and it sends out verification emails to the newly registered email addresses.
Nevertheless, after clicking on the activation link and successfully loading the page, it still lists the user under “Users with unconfirmed email address”. It does not send out confirmation emails to the user and the login still is not working.
I have to manually confirm their email via the admin panel, which kills the purpose or the sign up process.
Tried deactivating all plugins and the problem still persists.
Any input is greatly appreciated 🙂
