Is the WooCommerce Customer in question listed as “Subscribed” in the MailPoet list. If they’re still “Unconfirmed”, the email may be scheduled but not sent until they confirm their subscription via email.
Do you think this could be the case here?

Indeed; the customer had the status “Unsubscribed”.
So, if I understood correctly, sending an “After 1st purchase” email only works if and only if the customer has subscribed? That’s right?

That’s correct! That’s also valid for other types of emails sent by MailPoet (e.g. Newsletters, Post Notifications).
Only subscribed contacts will receive your emails.
