I’d like to be able to take the custom css I have in the sparkling area, and add it to the main stylesheet.

I’d also like to block that custom css component from ever being loaded, as it seems to be taking a long time to load (according to gtmetrix).

Is there any way to ignore this custom css section?

  • Hi @kirkearl,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

Are you using the custom CSS by adding it on the following path?

Admin Area -> Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS

If yes then just remove the CSS code from there and add it in the style.css file of Sparkling child theme.

    Best regards,
    Vinod Dalvi

That’s what I had initially done and things came out looking broken. Today I turned off the LESS in the custom css options and that fixed things. Thanks.

If say I found another jetpack component taking a long time to load, is there a way to stop this from being called. For example I don’t believe I’m using photon but it’s loading… and taking a long time.

***I take that back. I am using photon. For some reason it’s required to display a tiled gallery and I do have one page with a tiled gallery.

I do have another questions, why is my css breaking when I utilize the LESS option in the Sparkling theme?

Looks like it’s working ‘all of the sudden’. I clear my cache like a good boy should and I swear it was broken. I have to check next time prior to posting.

    Closing this. Thanks.

You are always welcome here 🙂
