• The latest Elementor update has caused massive problems for my site, and I fear I’ve made it worse. On Monday after updating the plugin, my site immediately crashed and I was unable to even access WordPress dashboard. I then removed the plugin via FTP (I realise now I should have just disabled it not deleted it – that’s my big mistake!) as such we have lost all our format on our website 🙁

I was then able to get back into the dashboard after removing it, however as soon as I try to re-download Elementor, I get this message, and we are back to square one, unable to access dashboard.

http://www.alba-interiors.uk is currently unable to handle this request.
    HTTP ERROR 500

Do you know why this is happening to our site? Its so frustrating as I spent months building the website with Elementor and had no problems at all, it was only when I updated the plugin on Monday that this all started happening?

I fear having to restart and build the website again from scratch with another plugin – any guidance would be welcome.

    Thanks.

Further to this, I thought maybe it might be a case of the update clashing with another of my plugins? My site uses the following plugins as well, if that sheds any light at all?

    Call now button
    EWWW image optimiser
    GDPR consent cookie
    Google analytics
    Elementor header/footer
    Instagram feed
    Mysticky Menu
    Ocean Demo Import
    Ocean extra
    Smart slider 3
    Yoast SEO
    WP Forms
    WP anchor

    That’s it I think.

I had similar issues and they went away after removing Ocean Demo Import (what does that do and why is it recommended, anyway?) and Ocean Extra (don’t actually need its features.)

Also be careful of Mysticky Menu. I uninstalled it after it caused a sort of shuddery effect when scrolling. You don’t need it if you have Elementor Pro.

I also have issue with Elementor Pro. When i activate it, im being kicked out of dashboard and not able to log in again.

For ppl not knowing: How to deactivate it throu Cpanel (Cpanel -> File Manager -> Public_html -> wp-content -> plugins -> and there edit the name on folder elementor-pro to example elementor-pr) – then able to log in again.

But how to make the plugin work?
