Elementor shortcode just showing as text

    Hi,

    I’ve setup a widget and it’s working fine on the site, but inside the Elementor editor it just seems to show the shortcode rather than the reviews.

    When I preview the page the reviews are showing correctly.

    Is that normal with Elementor or should the widget also show inside the editor?

    Hi,

    Yes, that’s normal with Elementor 🙂

    Elementor can sometimes show the shortcode rather than the rendered output while you’re inside the editor. As long as the GR Widget is displaying correctly when you preview or view the page itself, everything is working as expected.

    The HTML widget does support shortcodes, so there’s no need to change how you’ve added it.

    Thanks for raising this — we’ll add a note about the Elementor editor/preview behaviour to our instructions as it could definitely be a little confusing the first time you use it.
