Elementor Pro formSubmit button stays disabled after validation
-
Hi,
I’m experiencing a specific issue with hCaptcha for WP 5.2.0 in combination with an Elementor Pro form.
The form contains an Elementor Acceptance field for the privacy policy as well as an hCaptcha field.
The issue only occurs in the following sequence:
- I leave the required Acceptance field unchecked.
- I successfully complete the hCaptcha challenge.
- I click the submit button.
- Elementor correctly detects that the required Acceptance field has not been checked and prevents the form submission.
- I then check the Acceptance field.
- The hCaptcha challenge is still successfully completed and appears valid.
- However, the submit button remains disabled and can no longer be clicked.
If I check the Acceptance field before completing hCaptcha, everything works correctly and the form can be submitted.
So the problem seems to occur specifically after Elementor’s validation has failed once while hCaptcha was already completed.
In the browser inspector, the submit button then contains:
disabled data-hcaptcha-disabled="1"It appears that after the failed Elementor validation, hCaptcha disables the submit button but does not enable it again when the missing Acceptance field is subsequently completed.
I also tested the “Delay Showing hCaptcha, ms” setting with
0, but this did not change the behaviour.Environment:
- hCaptcha for WP: 5.2.0
- Elementor Pro form (Elementor Pro Version 4.2.2)
- Required Acceptance field
- hCaptcha field
Could you please check this problem?
Thank you very much for your support.
