Edits not saving

Hi there, this plugin sounds perfect for a site I’m working on, but have tested, including on your live demo link and edits don’t save – the save button responds, update message appears (very quickly), but viewing the page shows no change, and going back to edit, the edits are lost – I notice the plugin was updated 1 day ago, wondering if an earlier version is available to test?
