• Looking at the Roles and Capabilities, I see that the Editor role has permission to edit-others-posts. But in my blog I have 3 users in the editor role and they can’t edit each others posts. Is this the correct behaviour?

If so, how can I expand the editors role so that they can edit other editors posts?

    Thanks,

    Lucien.

  • If the individual settings are set to not edit other’s posts, then they can’t. If you want them to be able to, increase their responsibilities.

Have you checked out the Role Manager WordPress Plugin for more control over the roles, responsibilitys, and permissions?

Thanks, but that’s not much help. The only level above editor is admin, and I’m not handing that out to people.

I need to make it so editors can edit each others posts *without* elevating them to Admin.

How can I alter the Capabilities of an existing role?
