Ok – so I’m having an interesting issue – Steps to reproduce….

Step 1) Create a new page and add some rows / widgets – make sure to include a widget like the slider where you have the side strip and can include HTML

    Step 2) Save Page

At this point the editor has switched to Text mode and you see the generated HTML

Step 3) Switch back to page builder and edit the HTML in one of your slider boxes
ISSUE: the opening HTML tags are all gone

    Temporary Workaround –
After saving the page the first time with everything working
    1) Create new page
    2) In Page Builder goto Layouts and Clone original page – replace all
    3) Make your edits and save
    4) Go back to original page and clone the new “temp” page and save

I’m running the latest version of Bengkel (ThemeForest)

Fortunately I don’t need to make updates on this site that often

    Hi sflwa,

Step 2 shouldn’t have occurred as the Page Builder shouldn’t revert to editor on save./
To confirm, are you using the latest version of SiteOrigin Page Builder and the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle?

If so, can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If that doesn’t help, you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

    Page Builder – 2.6.3
    Widget Bundle – 1.11.4
Ok – So after deactivating all the plugins and then adding them back in – of course it was the last one

WP Meta SEO (3.6.6) by JoomUnited seems to be the issue – there is nothing in the developer console about errors

Additionally – disabling individual options within WP Meta SEO does not resolve the issue

    Hi sflwa,

I’ve run a few tests and I think I’ve spotted the cause.
Please navigate to WP Admin > WP Meta SEO > Settings and disable/untick Meta block edition. Does it work for you now? if so, this is as a result of the Meta block edition functionality. I would recommend reporting this issue to WP Meta SEO.

It wasn’t working with that shut off either – but I just cleared my cache and it is –
I will open a ticket with JoomUnited – I will post back in here once I hear back from them to help others who might have this issue

This has been resolved in Meta SEO 3.6.8
