Editor access roles

Hi
I have been using WP for a while now and I have created a multisite but I am still a total newbie!. I currently seem to have the following new problem.
On my multisite, each user has its own mini website – I have set their permissions to editor to restrict the amount of personalisation they can do. However they used to the able to change their password via edit my profile and now when they click onto it it comes up with the “cheatin huh etc etc”. What have I set incorrectly?!! Please help thanks
