• I just upgraded WordPress and suddenly it cannot handle pictures right. They look right in view mode with a nice grey border around them and the caption underneath, but in preview mode some pictures are left justified and the caption does not follow the css.

So, I hand coded the entire post and made it look perfect. It was just a beautiful as all my previous posts.

Then, I switched to view mode again and the preview went back to the kluged version. Luckily I saved all my coding and pasted it back in “text” mode and it looked beautiful again.

Why does view mode do a different thing than text mode does? Why does it take all the code and rearrange it? How can I make it stop?

  • What theme are you using? Where did you download it from? It’s the theme that controls the Editor view but not all themes actually offer this preview functionality.

I’m still on 1.8, which was doing fine until I upgraded WordPress. I’m a bit fearful of loading he newest, since something on the site seems to indicate that it will change the look or layout of my current blog and I didn’t want to get into redoing it.

    1.8 of what theme?

Okay, so you need to ask diythemes for help – they provide support for their commercial themes.
