editing html file?

    i’m trying to modify the css so it somewhat matches my website, and i need to edit the html to get rid of some bg css code that’s in there. but i can’t find any page in the list that contains the html, and i can only see if i go to the site and click on ‘view source.’ any help? i’m new to wordpress.
