Editing footer.php in child theme doesn't reflect
-
Hi There,
First off, this is an amazing and beautiful theme. Great stuff.
Coming to my problem, I created a child theme using One-Click child theme.
I copied the footer.php into the child theme to edit.
Although you should be credited for the theme, I do not want “Panaroma theme by SKT Themes” to show in the footer in my site.
I therefore removed this line in the footer.php.
But after saving the file with edits, the changes do not reflect on the site.
Can you please help here?
site: mystoury.commany thanks.
Regards,
Abhishek

its a dumb question, but did you active the child theme ?
Of course!
I saw this problem with a brzilian guy (facebook group), and he sad after activate other theme and reactive his theme, the changes were applied
Try to disable the cache plugins and clear your browser cache.
Tried clearing cache and activating another theme and reactivating this theme.
No luck πadd this code to your page:
<script>
$(“.footer-bottom > .foot_col_container > .bottom-right”).empty();
</script>You mean add this to footer.php?
yes but it is html code, dont put inside the php sections (<?php … ?>)
I have put it after PHP section ends but before </body>.
It didn’t seem to work though. Here’s my footer.php code.<?php /** * The template for displaying the footer. * * Contains the closing of the #content div and all content after * * @package SKT Panaroma */ ?> </div><!-- wrapper --> <footer id="colophon" class="site-footer" role="contentinfo"> <div class="foot_col_container"> <div class="footer-menu"><h2><?php _e('Main Menu','panaroma'); ?></h2> <?php wp_nav_menu( array('theme_location' => 'primary', 'container' => '', 'menu_class' => '') ); ?> </div><!-- footer-menu --> <div class="footer-menu"><h2><?php _e('Useful Links','panaroma'); ?></h2> <?php wp_nav_menu( array('theme_location' => 'useful', 'container' => '', 'menu_class' => '') ); ?> </div><!-- footer-menu --> <div class="social"><h2><?php _e('Follow Us','panaroma'); ?></h2> <div class="container"> <?php if ( of_get_option('facebook', true) != "") { ?> <a target="_blank" href="<?php echo esc_url(of_get_option('facebook', true)); ?>" title="Facebook" ><div class="fb icon"></div><span>Facebook</span></a> <?php } ?> <?php if ( of_get_option('twitter', true) != "") { ?> <a target="_blank" href="<?php echo esc_url(of_get_option('twitter', true)); ?>" title="Twitter" ><div class="twitt icon"></div><span>Twitter</span></a> <?php } ?> <?php if ( of_get_option('google', true) != "") { ?> <a target="_blank" href="<?php echo esc_url(of_get_option('google', true)); ?>" title="Google Plus" ><div class="gplus icon"></div><span>Google +</span></a> <?php } ?> <?php if ( of_get_option('linkedin', true) != "") { ?> <a target="_blank" href="<?php echo esc_url(of_get_option('linkedin', true)); ?>" title="Linkedin" ><div class="linkedin icon"></div><span>Linkedin</span></a> <?php } ?> </div> </div><!-- social --> <div class="contact"><h2><?php _e('Contact Info','panaroma'); ?></h2> <h3 class="company-title"><?php echo esc_html( of_get_option('contact1', true) ); ?></h3> <p><?php echo esc_html( of_get_option('contact2', true) ); ?></p> <p><?php echo esc_html( of_get_option('contact3', true) ); ?></p> <?php if(of_get_option('contact4', true) != ''){ ?> <p><strong><?php _e('Phone','panaroma'); ?> :</strong> <?php echo esc_html( of_get_option('contact4', true) ); ?></p> <?php } ?> <?php if(of_get_option('contact5', true) != '') { ?> <p><strong><?php _e('Email','panaroma'); ?> :</strong> <a href="mailto:<?php echo sanitize_email( of_get_option('contact5', true) ); ?>"><?php echo sanitize_email( of_get_option('contact5', true) ); ?></a></p> <?php } ?> </div><!-- contact --> <div class="clear"></div> </div> </footer><!-- #colophon --> <div class="footer-bottom"> <div class="foot_col_container"> <div class="bottom-left"> <?php if ( (function_exists( 'of_get_option' ) && (of_get_option('footertext2', true) != 1) ) ) { echo esc_html( of_get_option('footertext2', true) ); } ?> </div><!-- bottom-left --> </div><!-- footer-bottom --> </div> </div> </div><!-- #page --> <?php wp_footer(); ?> <script> $(".footer-bottom > .foot_col_container > .bottom-right").empty(); </script> </body> </html>Did try after </body> too
if were me, I’d try put this code on parent theme… it is not the best solution, but nothing is working…
Thanks for your efforts and help Tiago. unfortunately it didn’t work in the parent theme either π
Can remove our credentials in Pro version.
However in free you can remove it using a css fix.
Where I can get the CSS fix? Would it be rolled out in a new version?
