Edit somone else's wordpress website from different computer

A friend would like me to edit and update their wordpress website. Not sure which version she has. Working at her computer she has this neat little editor. She has given me her login. From my computer it will not let me log into anything. I try logging in at wordpress.com. Is that not where I need to login? Where do I need to go to login and edit her website from remote place?
