Have you tried:
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
– switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems.
– renaming the plugins folder via FTP
– reading http://wordpress.org/support/topic/279132
Thank you Esmi for the quick response. Also thank you for the link, there was quite a bit of great information in there.
I noticed others in the comments noting All-in-one SEO as the culprit, and once it was disabled my edit-pages.php works fine now!
Appreciate the help sir.
Cheers,

I’ve been struggling with this same issue. We have a production machine which has the code and the database backed up nightly. We also have a “sandbox” version where we can try out things before rolling them into the production environment. The code and the database get restored to the sandbox environment. Everything worked perfectly, except that you couldn’t edit any of the pages. The edit screen had all of the headers and sidebars that you would expect, but the area where you’d edit the contents was blank.
Based upon Esmi’s suggestion, I disabled all of the plugins and on by one I re-enabled them. Of course, at the bottom of 26 plugins, I found that “User Access Manager” was the culprit. If I leave that disabled, I don’t have any issues.

P.S. I believe that this started occurring when we went from 2.6.x to 2.8.4
post-tabs (current), All-in-one-SEO (1.6.6 – 1.6.10), will both independently cause this issue. Good luck.

Hi, Just switched from wordpress.com to wordpress.org and exported/imported my old website pages into a new theme.
I updated one page and now in edit it comes up blank. Before it came up blank, it showed html with the visual tab activated. So did the one other I edited, but it’s still coming up, not blanking.
I looked for plugins- but I’m new so only have aksimet and stats.
Where do I find All-in-one SEO is see if I have this and it’s the problem?
I’m using the Suffusion theme, customized by the DD, so who knows what may have been customized.
Thanks for any help you can give!
Now the entire list of pages except the one coming up blank!
Ok, I deactivated all of my 2 plugins and my edit pages and visual tab returned.
I have renamed my plugins folder and am going about reinstalling wordpress stats. Does it matter if I use the wordpress .com stats for .org??
You’re right Laurel, there’s no real pattern to it.
The use of plug-ins will destabilize any build.
The trick is to disable one by one, until you get the page to show, then go back and reactivate the plug-ins. Just remember that the page that was blank, will be good until you close it (at which time you’ll have to go through the process again to get it to show).
Good luck.
