    Hi Autoptimize,

    this is a really dumb question but I couldn’t find an answer anywhere.

    Previously my css was in file style.css. Now when I use the debugger, the source of css is autoptimise-123456789.css (for example). I need to edit my CSS. In which file do I edit it and where do I purge the cache to check the new css?

    So far I have edited style.css (or equivalent) and cleared cache from Autoptimize from the Save changes and Clear Cache button. That did not display the right css.

    I have edited the autoptimise-123456789.css file and refreshed, that didn’t work either. Am I missing something?

    Thank you or your help,
    Dimitri

    Morning Dimitri;
    Changing the autoptimize_xyz.css file is not the correct way. Ideally you don’t edit your theme’s style.css either as you changes would get overwritten with every theme update. The best way would be to either create a child theme or you’d use the “custom css”-feature of WordPress core (Appearance -> Customize -> Custom CSS) to override the theme’s CSS. These changes should automatically get picked up by AO.

    Hope this helps,
    frank
