You do not have to buy a theme – there are plenty of free themes that work with ecommerce plugins. But you DO need to install WP first – start here:
http://codex.wordpress.org/New_To_WordPress_-_Where_to_Start
Themes from this site are free – you can try them out all you want – here’s one for ecommerce that’s well-supported:
https://wordpress.org/themes/storefront/
It works with WooCommerce plugin:

I saw this yesterday…
https://store.wordpress.com/plans/
in order to have an online store, a site that sells my handmade crafts, I have to have a business plan? I see that the premium plan does not support ecommerce… is this type of online store that I want (actually an online store, with cart, shipping etc) an ecommerce? So, there is also extra money for hosting eg. bluehost?
You need to read this:

These forums here are for WordPress.ORG sites. The link you posted above is for WordPress.COM sites – totally different thing – so first decide which you are going to use.
Thank you… I went to .com forum
I am back… since the theme is this…they told me that I need wp.org
http://www.mojo-themes.com/item/rustik-minimalist-wp-e-commerce-theme/
if I purchase and download the theme, i will costumize it on a WP platform, right? if bluehost is my host, do i have to pay also for a plan in wp?
I feel soooo lost… 🙁

Hi,
if you’ve purchased the theme from Mojo and already have a active domain and a hosting plan on Bluehost the you’re good to go, you don’t have to pay anything extra.
Just follow this tutorial https://my.bluehost.com/cgi/help/wp_install
Regards
Thank you lemonthirst… I have played around with wix and shopify themes and to costumize a site that needs little markaup I can handle it… do you think themes like the mojo that I like for example, need a markup knowledge or the work done is similar as to shopify trial themes? or it is wiser to use a WP theme.com? But I love that rustik theme….
if I decide to purchase this theme, I will have a wp platform, right? so, this mean that I can log into the theme and on the wp platform of this theme, from any computer, right?
Thank you lemonthirst…
The mojo theme I like do you think that needs lots of markup knowledge or costumization is similar as to create a trial theme from shopify?
That I can handle, but heavy duty markup is not for me… also, do you think it is easier to deal with a wp theme.com than a theme outside wp, like mojo?
And, if lets say I decide to go for the mojo theme, it is costumized on a wp platform, right? this means that I can have access from any computer that is available to me, since my pc is not always available?
Thank you

Hmm usually if it’s a premium theme via any marketplace (Themeforest/Mojo) it already has a theme options to add your custom css/js add logos and customize different features.
Regarding access, it’s available from anywhere, that’s the whole point of having a website/domain hosted.
You’re welcome!

Not on WordPress.COM – you cannot use outside themes on WordPress.COM
if bluehost is my host, do i have to pay also for a plan in wp?
No, in that case you only pay for hosting to Bluehost and the WordPress.ORG (here) software is free.
Please re-read this:

Also, these forums only provide support for themes from this site, here:
https://wordpress.org/themes/
If you buy a theme, you will have to get support from the people you bought the theme from. We can still help with general WP questions, but if it is specific to your theme, the developer is the one who knows how that theme works and support is part of what you paid for.
Hi Nehlena1 ,don’t get confused there are many free themes you can get around the web.But professionally developed themes look attractive.I also felt same like you when I started my business. But I come to know about [redacted] where many themes are available at low cost. You may visit
