EBD crashes posts on new hosting only

    We have built site and included Email Before Download function on most pages. We have now transferred the site to staging, ready top go live, but now any page that has the plugin activated on it is blank. The hoster says the only way we can access the site is to update IP in host file to 103.244.201.6 then access bartlettsenvironmental.com.au.

    Once you do this, you can see the staging site. Go to any page within Construction or Services and it clearly fails.

    I had exactly this issue and tried many things
    I posted a request for help and got nothing

    As this is a new site, I suspect you may have the same problem that I finally discovered an answer for

    Go to your cPanel, go to PHP versions, look for extensions and make sure “mbstring” is enabled

    This fixed my issue immediately and I have tried it with both PHP 5.6 and PHP 7.2

    Hi @alanrands thanks for this, I just checked and PHP extension mbstring is already enabled. Thanks for the reply, I’ll keep trying.

    Hi its due to the below error. You have to ask the hosting to enable the mbstring extension:

    You cannot make these changes to PHP.ini at cpanel level. It has to done at the server level.
