Easier Remote Authorization Gmail
-
I work with client websites, like many of us do, and most of those customers really shouldn’t be messing around in the backend of managed sites.
But when we set up a website to send messages using the client’s email address, the process usually requires me to have them log into the website backend, authenticate their email address, and then log them back out. That gets even harder when I’m not in the office with them, and honestly, it shouldn’t be necessary for this process to work.
I’d love to be able to send the client a link they can click to approve the OAuth request, then have it redirect them to a simple approval page that doesn’t require access to the website backend.
That would make it much easier for webmasters to keep clients out of the backend while still letting them authorize the app to send emails properly.
