E-mail notification NOT autmoated

    I want a simple widget for people to subscribe to my blog, but I don NOT want it automated. Rather, I want to send out a monthly update e-mail of what is new, so essentially all I want is a method of gathering e-mail addresses. This is probably so simple, so please excuse a newbie question.

    I’d look into something like MailChimp. There’s some good integration plugins available for it os that users can sign up at your site, and then you can send your emails when ever you feel like. There’s a lot of other services that do the same, so have a look around and see what you can find.

    If you don’t want something like that, you can always jsut use a ‘Contact Us’ plugin to give you a form, and then when people fill in their details you can add them to your mailing list manually.
