No widgets active and when using shortcodes an error appears on page, please fix. The plugin is nice and usable, but not 100% functional with those bugs.
Why would you think you will get a response while looking at the many that have not gotten a reply? Your changes are at best, grim. The author should at least state that the plugin is not being support at this time.

Have some patience. While it’s true that plugin authors do have a responsibility, they also are entitled to a life outside of that plugin. 😉
Support for plugins tend to work better if you use the dedicated forum link on the plugin page. For example, that plugins forum link for reporting issues is

If that plugin and the support isn’t working out for you, try one of the many other available instead.

Thanks for the patience! Actually the widgets I am not testing very well on production website, because I don’t using any subscribe and unsubscribe form. I will investigate the problem, and will fix it in next version.
