Hi,
I’m the developer of the plug-in and i would like to thank you for writing the review. It was wonderful to read. The plug-in was initially written to be used in-house for my own boutique hotel. Writing it started during covid lockdown and thrilled to see it finally at this stage.
For your question, the current two-month limit for the availability calendar in Staylodgic is in place due to timeout restrictions set by various web hosts. Many hosting providers enforce relatively low timeout settings for server processing. If the requested date range is too large, it can exceed these limits, causing timeouts or failed responses.
The two-month default is chosen as a balanced baseline that works reliably across most environments, especially those with stricter timeout constraints. However, we understand that some users may be hosted on platforms that allow for longer processing times.
To accommodate this, we can plan to introduce a selectable option that allows users to extend the calendar range. This will give flexibility based on the capabilities of each host — users with hosts that allow higher timeouts can choose a longer range, while those on more limited hosts can keep the default for stable performance.
We can aim to have this feature tested and available within 1 to 2 weeks.
Hope that works for you and thanks again.
