    Hello,

    So, I’ve been trying for a long time to get this plugin to work for my website.
    In the beginning I contacted my Webhoster, they looked into my limits and raised them all.
    However this didnt solve it. After some more discussions, the Webhoster recieved acces to my WordPress and had a deep look into my WordPress. After running Duplicator, he told me that the Plugins throws error like “ssl not enabled”.
    This was his original message:
    ———————————————

    Hello,

    Please note that the plugin throws error like “ssl not enabled”. We assume that this is happening due to the SSL installed in the cloudflare. Could you please contact the “duplicator” plugin support let them know the belolw error details:

    ++
    ** Really Simple SSL debug mode **
    ** Detecting configuration **,
    plugin version: 2.3.14, referer
    Already on SSL, start detecting configuration,
    No server variable detected
    ssl type: LOADBALANCER,
    ssl not enabled, show notice
    ++

    ——————————————————-
    Message END

    After the failed Package Build, I recieve this error:

    Server Status: 500 -Internal Server Error
    Error Message:
    Internal Server Error

    The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

    Please contact the server administrator at webmaster@xs-sol.com to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

    More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

    Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    And this is the Error log:

  • Hey Tanckom,

    Is there a way to temporarily pause, filter pages (such as the wp-admin) from or disable cloud-flare? It looks like cloudflare has timeouts set that is preventing the site finishing processing the request. You might also be able to create a directory filter and exclude say your wp-content/uploads folder to get the size down small enough to so that cloudflare doesn’t timeout…

    Let me know if that helps!

    Disabled https so the admin panel was accessed via http.
    Still having the same issue…

    Server Status: 500 -Internal Server Error
    Error Message:
    Internal Server Error

    The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

    Please contact the server administrator at webmaster@xs-sol.com to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

    More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

    Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Hey Tanckom,

    The information your host posted doesn’t really help us much… The only issue I’m seeing from the Duplicator log is a possible timeout issue, which may be triggered from a timeout in cloudflare, but that I’m not sure of especially based on the logs below… Can your host provide more details than what they originally said?

    Hello, Please note that the plugin throws error like “ssl not enabled”. We assume that this is happening due to the SSL installed in the cloudflare. Could you please contact the “duplicator” plugin support let them know the below error details: ++
    ** Really Simple SSL debug mode **
    ** Detecting configuration **,
    plugin version: 2.3.14, referer
    Already on SSL, start detecting configuration,
    No server variable detected
    ssl type: LOADBALANCER,
    ssl not enabled, show notice
    ++ ——————————————————-
    Message END

    From that information quoted above I don’t see a correlation between Duplicator and SSL… Also what is plugin version 2.3.14? Duplicator is currently at 1.1.18? This looks like some generic output that doesn’t really help us isolate the error..

    I would let your host know that Duplicator has over 4 million downloads and installed on thousands of other hosts using port 80 and 443 (SSL) without issues, this looks to be like something related to either the hosts setup or possibly cloudflare, but based on the information above it doesn’t really give us any really good data to work with or troubleshoot the issue.

    I would temporarily create a root filter and try and create a package, if it succeeds then there is definitely something on the server side that is preventing Duplicator from running a full cycle.

    Let me know if you can get any better details from your host that we can work with…

    Thanks!
