Hi @atomiktd,
The effect is, that all my products are duplicated. What should I do to have them updated not duplicated?
Instead of creating another import with the same file, you should be updating the 1st import you created with the new version of the file. See: http://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/recurring/update-import.
The reason it was duplicating before is because each “New Items” import can only recognize products that it previously created, it cannot detect products created manually or by other imports (even if the Unique Identifier is the same).

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work.
I tried it the same way before, but I double-checked it now following your instruction, to no avail.
Products are being duplicated even when I import the same XML file, with the same settings (previously saved as a template), with update selected.
Unique identifier is set to a unique field in XML’s product record.
Funny thing is, that it runs correctly when I re-run the same import using Manage Imports, even when I change import file content or replace it on a server with another XML file.

If you’re importing the XML file in a new “New Items” import that didn’t previously create the products in the XML file, then it’s going to duplicate them. That’s expected behavior.

That’s the method I mentioned previously. Is there a reason you’re not wanting to use this method?
Hi @atomiktd,
I’m marking this as resolved since it’s been inactive for a while. Please open a new topic if you still have questions.
