• Since upgrading Custom Order Numbers for WooCommerce to 2.0.0 we have found that orders placed at close intervals can result in duplicated order numbers. This issue appears to have been raised by multiple users over the past month with no communication resolution or plugin update.

    WordPress 7.0.2
    WooCommerce 10.9.4
Custom Order Numbers for WooCommerce 2.0.0

Given this issue has been raised by other users can you please advise:
    – ETA on a plugin update to resolve the issue.
    – Any possible workarounds to implement in the interim
    – If downgrading to 1.13.0 is safe, noting that plugin settings got migrated from individual alg_wc_pif_* options to consolidated con_general_settings options in 2.0.0.

  • Hi @amwiseinternet

    Hi there,

Thank you for reporting this issue and for providing the detailed information about your setup.

We understand your concern regarding duplicate order numbers occurring when orders are placed at close intervals.

Unfortunately, we were not able to reproduce the issue. However, our developers are currently investigating the issue to determine the cause and the appropriate fix.

We will update you as soon as we have more information.

Regarding downgrading the plugin, we do not recommend this approach, as the sequential order numbers will not be migrated which could result in incorrect order numbers when downgrading.

Additionally, the newer version includes several other fixes and improvements that would be missed if you revert to an older version.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we look into this.
