Duplicate results with 404

    Relevanssi gives duplicate search results in some product categories.

    If you for example, search for a term “footlogix 1 dd cream mousse formula 125 ml” you get two results. First has a permlink in english, which gives 404 and the second one is the real one with a permlink in Finnish.

    I’ve tested this with versions:
    4.14.3
    4.16.0
    4.18.3
    And the behavior stays the same.

    There are no duplicates in database and there is no english side on this site, only a finnish one. Admin search doesn’t give duplicate results.

    Yeah, I see lots of duplicates in the results. They’re fully identical, though, with working permalinks on both.

    Are there any custom functions related to the search on the site? Does the Relevanssi admin search (Dashboard > Admin search) have these duplicates? If it doesn’t, what if you try a different theme?

    Thank you for your answer Mikko. There should not be custom functions related to the search but I’m not betting on it, I will check that one. Admin search doesn’t give duplicates at all. I really can’t change the theme, because the site has so many functions which are custom made, without messing everything up.

    If there are no duplicates in the admin search, this sounds like a theme problem. I’d look into the theme search results template to see what it does.
