Hello! We capture duplicate requests from two different user agents (wordpress-fluentforms-6.2.x and php-api) from your integration. At the beginning of the year, we asked you to remove integration via the php api in an email, below is a duplicate of the email with the details:

We’ve been seeing multiple spam-check requests for a single form submission due to feedback analysis.

This issue occurs because several check_message calls are being triggered from the client side.

Here’s roughly how the flow works:

    1. Your legacy CleanTalk integration makes a call.** This happens because the legacy integration state still allows it, and there’s currently no way to remove those state flags from the settings.

    2. Your current CleanTalk integration also makes a call with the same visitor data.** This is enabled in the current integration as well but can be disabled through FluentForms settings.

    3. The CleanTalk plugin makes another call with the same visitor data.** This occurs because the global variable $cleantalk_executed was renamed in your submission flow. I’ve already updated the CleanTalk plugin code to prevent this.

As a result, the CleanTalk cloud service detects these rapid requests as fast posting and may block visitors with false positives.

Could someone from the Fluent Forms team help resolve this issue? I’d be happy to suggest some code improvements and provide further details.

    Hello there,
Thank you for reporting this. We are aware of the duplicate CleanTalk requests described here and are currently investigating the issue with our development team. We are reviewing the interaction between the different CleanTalk integration paths so we can address it properly.

I hope it will be fixed soon.

    Thank you for your patience.
