duplicate hreflang tags

    Hi, I just saw with sistrix that I have duplicate hreflang tags, I am trying to optimize my site for SEO, why is it that I have two hreflang tags for English and 2 for German? How can I do this right?

    TranslatePress adds extra region independent hreflang tags, along with region dependent. They point to the same page.

    The region independent language tags help search engines provide the correct link to visitors without country specification or with a different country specification than those available.

    It should not affect SEO in any way as this is even encouraged by Google.

    Does this issue appear in Google Search Console as well?
