Duplicate Function

I have just discovered this great plugin – thank you!

I have a question. At the moment, when a user does not have permission to edit someone else’s event, they can still duplicate it. I think there may be instances where such duplication is not a good idea (even if the event is already published – and could be copied from the events page). Is there a simple way of removing the ability for a non-owner of an event to duplicate an event?
