• Hello,
in my WPMU installation I use Evolve Theme for one of the sites. I update to the last 4.9.7 but it didn’t work, so I returned to the 4.9.6.
I have a menu with dropdown subitems whose links doesn’t work anymore. Even the cursor doesn’t change, as it doesn’t see there is a link.
I experienced this issue before with other release of the theme (even normal single installation) but I solved it making a child theme.
I also noticed that if I enable the hover effect I see some pixel below the menu items, as if it is repeated down. Fortunatelly, I don’t need hover effect, but I think it is good to report this issue, I think it is related to the submenu link not working.
Now, I don’t need a child theme anymore, so I need help.
    Thank you
    Eva

update to 3.9.8. it fixed everything
i’ve just tested my sub – sub menus which are a huge number and everything works.
I’ve also disable the hover effect.
So maybe update, remove any css for menu, empty cache if use a caching plugin and test.
Also a url of your site will help

@localport did the new version fix the issue?

    Hello,
It didn’t solve the problem, unfortunatelly.
I created a new site ex novo, with two pages just to test and there is no problem in it.
So I think there is something in the first site that make a conflicts.
I will try in the afternoon (Rome time) to investigate and then I’ll let you know.
I can’t give you the url because it is a test site password protected. If you need, I can give you the url privately, not in the forum.
    Let me know.
    Thank you!

Hard to fix when cannot see the code 🙁 . But as you wrote, it can be a plugin conflict or a customization, if you did some.

I’ll try, if I can not get rid of the problem, I’ll give you access.
    Thank you Romik!

Hi Romik84, I found the problem. It’s a plugin conflict with Widgekit for Elementor.
    Greetings,
    Eva

    glad you found it 😉

I am also having a problem with the submenu links not working. I’m running Evolve 3.9.8 with minimal plugins. No child theme. I’ve cleared the cache. Thoughts?

Ha! Never mind. I disabled my Content Views plugin and I’m back in business.

@lstucki glad you solved it…probably the plugin uses Bootstrap styles?

@romik84 – I’m having the same issue. theme version 3.9.9 and wp 4.9.8

@joehanold using any plugins? child theme?

    My site is https:/dallasmargarita.com

I’m fairly new to wordpress but I don’t think I have a child theme. The following
    plugins are active:

    Akismet Anti-Spam
    All In One SEO Pack
    Bluehost
Contact Page with Click to Call by MightyCall
    Custom Facebook Feed
    Fusion : Extension – Gallery
    Fusion : Plugin
    Google Reviews Widget
    Jetpack by WordPress.com
    JotForm Embed Forms
    MailChimp for WordPress
    Redux Framework
    UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore
    WooCommerce
    WooCommerce Services

My menu also has a “shadow” or something below it that appeared recently as well. I have not been able to figure out how to turn it off.

@joehanold This plugin Fusion makes the issue as it conflicts with evolve Bootstrap framework
