• Since version 3.10, there is an issue with our dropdown menus. The mega menu is displaying on load but as white space (display:block, visibility:hidden). Hovering the main menu item does not change this state. Flyout menus aren’t working either. I have tried alternate themes and disabling all plugins. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi fulloken,

    Thanks for posting a link.

    Please can you:

    1. Fix this JS error to rule it out as being a problem:https://app.screencast.com/RfsWAavvabfW4
    2. Go to Mega Menu > Tools and clear the CSS cache
    3. Try switching the sub menu display mode from Mega Menu – Standard Layout to Mega Menu – Grid Layout

Fo you have any custom JS that targets the menu? I see the sub menu does show up, but only for the currently “active” top level item.

    Regards,
    Tom

    Hi Tom,

    Thanks for looking into this.

    1. That JS error was related to an element specific to that interior page (and maybe a couple other pages), but not sitewide, while the menu issue is sitewide. I removed it anyway.
    2. I tried this.
    3. I switched to Grid layout. This prevents the mega menu from consuming real estate on load, however it doesn’t display on hover/click either (except with “active” top level items).

    I removed custom JS.

I notice the mega menu indicator shows only for active items as well.

    Hi Tom,

The site is online. Perhaps the server had a brief outage when you loaded it?

    Hi fulloken,

    It’s back online now.

The arrow icons aren’t working because Dashicons has been dequeued from the site (maybe with custom code or an optimisation plugin). You can use the Theme Editor to set the Arrow style to use SVGs instead.

I see that only the ‘active’ parent item has the ‘mega-mega-menu-item-has-children’ class, that’s why the arrow and dropdown only appear on the ‘active’ menu item (and it changes depending on which page you look at). There must be some code – I suspect custom code – that is making that change, please can you check?

There’s also a suspicious looking class – “mega-mega-activemega-mega-mega-“, please check/disable any custom code that is adding the ‘active’ class.

    Regards,
    Tom
